On February 7th, Missouri AFL-CIO President Mike Louis and Missouri NAACP President Rod Chapel filed a petition for referendum with the Secretary of State’s office. We have until August 28th – the day the “right-to-work” measure becomes law – to collect enough signatures to place the law on the ballot. If we succeed, “right-to-work” won’t take effect until we the people get a chance to vote on the issue in 2018. The Secretary of State’s office has up to 30 days from the day we filed to approve the petition.
We need your help! We need all hands on deck to get enough signatures to go to the ballot and then we will need to win in 2018! Please sign up below to receive updates on the petition drive. And remember you can only sign the official petition if you are registered to vote! Register here if you are not: https://s1.sos.mo.gov/votemissouri/request
It is time to stop the attacks on working men and women in Missouri. It is time to stand together and fight. United we are strong.
