Mark Baker is a Businesss Representative for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local Union No. 702.  He entered the Labor Movement at 20 years of age, hiring on at (then) Union Electric in Cape Girardeau as a Meter Reader in 1991.  In 1994, he began his Lineman Apprenticeship, topping out as a Journeyman in 1996.

In 2004, he left Ameren (new name for Union Electric) to go on staff with the Local.  In June of 2005, he took over as President of the Cape Girardeau Central Trades & Labor Council, MO AFL-CIO.  From there, through today, many changes have been made, all in an effort to push Labor's positive agenda and image forward.

Mark resides in Jackson with his wife, Kim, and has three (3) children.
